The Tigers will build long reliever Drew Anderson up as a starting pitcher, manager A.J. They’ll also activate Jackson Jobe during this weekend’s series in San Francisco. They can pitch Keider Montero in the opener and officially reinstate Jobe from the 60-day injured list for Saturday’s ballgame. The Tigers wound up adding Valdez late in the offseason when he couldn’t find a long-term deal. That’s going to put a lot on the bullpen with Jobe and Anderson each building up midseason.
