Man charged with conspiracy to commit arson and false imprisonment in Bury

Lee Morris, of Pinfold Avenue, Manchester, appeared at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Monday, August 3, for a first hearing.
Court documents state Morris, 43, allegedly conspired with others to commit arson in Bury to machinery belonging to Valencia Waste Management on Sunday, August 2.
Morris also stands charged with allegedly conspiring to falsely imprison two people, conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, and possessing a knife in a public place in Bury on the same date.
Morris, 43, did not enter pleas for the offences at court, and his case has been sent to Manchester Crown Court, where it will be heard on September 7.
Morris has been remanded in custody until his next appearance in court.
