Purdue Extension Offering Master Gardener Training

News ReleaseKOSCIUSKO COUNTY – People interested in helping educate the community about home horticulture can apply for the Purdue Extension Master Gardener Basic Training course this fall through the Kosciusko County Extension Office.
The 14-week, in-person course trains volunteers to assist Purdue Extension with home horticulture education in their local communities.
To remain active, master gardeners must complete at least 12 volunteer hours and six continuing education hours each year.
Classes will be held from 1-4 p.m. Mondays at the Kosciusko County Extension Office, 202 W. Main St., Warsaw, beginning Monday, Sept. 14 and continuing through Monday, Dec. 14.
The cost is $175 per person or $250 per couple and includes class materials, a soil test, program maintenance, a name tag upon completion of volunteer hours, a Purdue Extension Master Gardener manual and reference materials.
