CABINET SECRETARY Benjamin D. Abalos, Jr. said he is available to mediate between businesses and government agencies to advance the implementation of the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) law. The delegation presented proposals to improve government processes, facilitating investment, and strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors. Mr. Abalos said the Office of the Cabinet Secretary (OCS) can convene government agencies to further enhance the ease of doing business. He said the OCS also serves as a conduit between the government and the business sector by bringing concerns to the appropriate agencies and facilitating coordinated government action. He also underscored the importance of practical, time-bound solutions and the need to balance development, environmental protection, and public welfare in government decision-making.
