The East Williston Union Free School District Board of Education has appointed Jacqueline Pirro as deputy superintendent, effective Sept. 8, welcoming back a familiar leader to the district.
Since leaving East Williston, Pirro served as assistant superintendent for business in the Westhampton Beach Union Free School District, where she managed a $68 million budget.
“There is something special about welcoming Ms. Pirro back to East Williston,” Superintendent Danielle Gately said.
For Pirro, the opportunity to return to East Williston is both professionally and personally meaningful.
East Williston thanked Castonguay for her leadership and lasting contributions to the school community and wished her continued success in the next chapter of her career.
