The woman patient, who received a donor kidney from her mother and underwent kidney transplantation in 2009, was admitted with severe abdominal pain, recurrent vomiting, and weight loss. Treating such a cancer in a kidney transplant recipient posed an extremely complex challenge, said Dr Mounika Boppana, Medical Oncology and Hemato-Oncology.
