The development comes days after the teenager issued a public apology, with the complainant subsequently withdrawing the case.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also appealed for forgiveness, saying punitive action against a student would not address the larger concerns raised by the protest.
Delhi Police have said they have not received any formal complaint regarding the alleged threats faced by the family.
