Morocco’s police (DGSN) arrested a 29-year-old French national on Tuesday in Tangier pursuant to an international arrest warrant issued by French judicial authorities, according to a security source. A check of the Interpol database confirmed that the suspect was the subject of a Red Notice issued by the French National Central Bureau in Paris for his alleged involvement in a murder. According to preliminary findings, the suspect is accused of fatally shooting a person in a public street in the French city of Toulouse in September 2024. The suspect was placed in police custody under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office pending the initiation of extradition proceedings.
