Samsung is exploring new display driver IC (DDI) suppliers for its next-gen Galaxy S27 and S28 series. Samsung may diversify the Galaxy S series DDI supply chainAccording to a report from ZDNet Korea, Samsung Display recently requested price proposals for DDIs for the Galaxy S28 Ultra from suppliers like Taiwan’s Novatek. The report also says that Samsung is considering diversifying DDI suppliers for the upcoming Galaxy S27 series. The 2027 Galaxy S flagship lineup may include four models: Galaxy S27, S27+, S27 Pro, and S27 Ultra. The company now appears to be going in the same direction for its flagship Galaxy S lineup.
