Voters across the nine-county Green Hills region selected political party nominees during Tuesday’s primary election, setting the stage for November’s general election. Grundy County recorded a voter turnout of 39.3%. Phil Fox captured the Republican nomination in District 2, leading the five-county race with 3,472 votes, or 48%. Brooke Wyant won the Republican nomination for recorder of deeds, defeating Rose Page by a vote of 544 to 511. In Daviess County, Republican nominees included Jim Ruse for presiding commissioner, Rachel Taylor for county clerk, and Tiffany Tadlock for recorder of deeds.
