NET Web DeskShillong, August 5: Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar on Wednesday outlined the Meghalaya government’s priorities on several key public issues, including the relocation of Harijan Colony, parking infrastructure, the Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy, interstate border negotiations and the One-Time Settlement (OTS) Scheme. Addressing the media, Dhar said the government remains committed to resolving the Harijan Colony relocation issue through dialogue while simultaneously improving parking infrastructure to reduce traffic congestion in urban areas. He said the state is also working to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles by strengthening supporting infrastructure and implementing policy measures. On the interstate border issue, Dhar reiterated that the government is pursuing peaceful negotiations while safeguarding Meghalaya’s interests. He added that the government remains focused on addressing these issues through a balanced and people-centric approach.
