Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating after they say a vehicle was deliberately set on fire in Saint-Leonard early Wednesday morning. Scene where a suspected arson occurred in St-Leonard on Aug. 5, 2026. (Pamela Pagano, CityNews)Police said the fire caused only minor damage to the vehicle and no other property was damaged. According to preliminary information from a witness, a suspect was seen setting the vehicle on fire before fleeing. The investigation has been turned over to the Montreal police arson squad.
