More than 2,000 anglers gathered at Roaring River for the opening day of catch-and-keep trout season. The Missouri Department of Natural Resources expressed gratitude to voters for supporting Amendment 1, which funds state parks and water resources. Director Kurt Schaefer thanked voters and Governor Mike Kehoe for their support of the Parks, Soils and Water Sales Tax, which is renewed every 10 years.
