It is reported that shortly before 1am on Tuesday (August 4), a man smashed the windows of Savers on South Street, in Bishop's Stortford. It is not clear if anything was taken, but several perfume bottles were dropped outside the shop before the man made off towards Apton Road. Three other attempted business burglaries on South Street were also reported to officers who were making enquiries. Police are urging residents and local businesses to check their CCTV cameras to see if it picked up suspicious activity in the area. Officers are looking for CCTV of a white man of slim build, wearing a dark jumper with a distinctive white logo, and a green combat coloured baseball cap.
