For all the attention luxury watch brands pay to tourbillons, power reserves and increasingly complex movements, the industry's biggest flex right now is surprisingly simple: colour. IWC Schaffhausen gave the watch world a new shade of coolPool Of CoolCalled “Pool,” the new aquamarine dial gives the IWC Ingenieur its freshest look yet, without messing with what made the watch a modern favourite in the first place. Andrew Garfield was spotted wearing it at Wimbledon last month, pairing the aquamarine dial with an equally tonal outfit that immediately set watch enthusiasts dissecting every wrist shot. Originally designed by legendary watch designer Gérald Genta in 1976, it helped define the luxury sports watch with its integrated bracelet, industrial-inspired architecture and distinctive five-screw bezel. When IWC revived the design in 2023, the reception was divided, but the collection has since found its rhythm.
