I don’t know about you, but our family struggled without air conditioning in July; and, talking to old-timers throughout our community, there isn’t another summer in their memories similar to what we just lived through. Here in the Northland, the unforgettable combination of extended extreme heat and ungodly air quality from unprecedented levels of wildfire smoke during the middle of our summer provided us all with the chance to rally together and take action. Yes, we are starting to experience more direct impacts of what happens to a rapidly warming planet, and one powerful lever we all have is to advocate for the solutions we want to see to help ensure the future is as livable as we’ve had it for all our children.
