The two men were nabbed after providing their statements at MACC’s headquarters in Putrajaya at about 6.30pm yesterday. However, they were released later that night due to health reasons and are scheduled to return to the MACC headquarters at 10am today to continue giving their statements. MACC chief commissioner Abd Halim Aman confirmed the arrests and said the case is being investigated under Section 23 of the MACC Act. The suspect is believed to have given bribes in the form of renovations worth about RM300,000 for four homes belonging to the former COO between 2014 and 2018. A source said the suspect’s arrest was also linked to the TH RCI report.
