AMD (AMD) stock is getting hammered today after reporting a very strong second quarter and outlook late Tuesday. It expects data center revenues to more than double in 2027, with AI GPUs growing well over 100%. Strong momentum: Data Center sales up 16% sequentially, Data Center operating margins up three percentage points sequentially, and on-GAAP operating margins up two percentage points sequentially. The strong top and bottom-line performance was fueled by the company's Data Center segment. KeyBanc analyst John Vinh: "While 2Q/3Q results fell short of high expectations, we're encouraged by AMD's second half 2026/2027 outlook for DC/server CPU/Helios.
