The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has pledged a N100 million donation and a brand-new Hilux vehicle to the Iru Ekun Security Network, a community-based security outfit established by Yoruba nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho. The monarch announced the support during a courtesy visit by Igboho and members of the security outfit to the Ooni’s palace in Ile-Ife, Osun State. Earlier in May, Igboho disclosed that all necessary documentation for the establishment of the security outfit had been submitted to the Federal Government for approval. However, it remains unclear whether the Federal Government has granted official approval for the operation of the security network.
