Anythink Libraries opened the Anythink Nature Library at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026, at 6811 E. 136th Avenue in Thornton, Colorado. Officials said the 33,000-square-foot facility on 15 acres adjacent to Aylor Open Lands is the nation’s first outdoor-focused public library and represents a new model for public library services. According to Anythink, the Nature Library is the nation’s first public library designed specifically to connect people with the natural world through immersive indoor and outdoor experiences. As Adams County’s independent public library district, Anythink Libraries continues to expand its presence in the region with the addition of the Nature Library. The facility’s outdoor-focused design and nature-based collections distinguish it within the U.S. public library system, according to Anythink officials.
