Build a Salad owner Sean Alexander said business dropped dramatically following the news of Cyclospora, making it impossible to keep the restaurant open in its current form. “We were doing a lot of business beforehand, and then as soon as the epidemic hit, we went down to about zero business. Rather than shutting down permanently, Alexander said he has decided to rebrand the business and open a new restaurant called Zeekz. The new concept will feature gyros, pita pizzas, salads, drinks, and other menu items, giving the restaurant a broader selection than it previously offered.
