The two-time defending state champion CCA Lady Patriots made a statement on Tuesday in Chula against the 3A Tiftarea Lady Panthers in the season opener, winning 23-0 in three innings. Brilynn Waldron, Mattie Lewis, and Arabelle Roberts each had three hits. Gourley, Lewis, and Roberts scored three times. Meeks threw a perfect final inning to give the Lady Patriots a three-inning combined no-hitter. The Lady Patriots are 1-0 on the 2026 season.
