Carl Holland who died following an assault in the Suffolk Road area of west Belfast last FridayA social media claim that a man arrested in Belfast city centre during the Fleadh had a knife was “inaccurate”, according to police. It comes after a number of posts shared online claimed that the man was armed. The PSNI said that it was “aware of inaccurate information circulating on social media” after an arrest was made in the Cornmarket area on Tuesday. “We can also confirm the man was not in possession of a knife, or any other object, as suggested within these unverified claims online. “The man remains in custody at this time, as our enquiries continue into the circumstances of the earlier altercation.”
