The family of nine-year-old Minnie Merriman, who died after she was found seriously injured on an industrial estate in Arbroath, have described her as “beloved, absolutely incredible and beautiful”. Minnie, from West Yorkshire, was found just after midnight on Monday at the Elliot industrial estate in the Angus town while her family were camping in the area. A 35-year-old man has been charged in connection with her death and is due to appear at Forfar Sheriff Court on Wednesday. In a statement released through Police Scotland, her family said: “We are devastated with the loss of our beloved, absolutely incredible, beautiful and brave Minnie Moo. It is understood West Yorkshire Police are supporting Police Scotland’s investigation.
