Steven Marlo Gallagher, born in 1992, was handed seven years behind bars for a 2022 Canada Day shooting. A recently published Court of Appeal decision denied Gallagher's challenges to his convictions for two firearm offences and aggravated assault. Gallagher started a fight on an Osoyoos beach, pulled a handgun from his shorts and started firing rounds, one of which injured a man. But the court disagreed, as the key identification witness had seen and spoken to Gallagher that day and had known him for over 30 years.
