BC Wildfire Service information officer Nicole Bonnett says the aircraft need plenty of room to safely scoop water and return to the fire. The BC Wildfire Service is also reminding residents to take evacuation alerts and orders seriously. Bonnett is also encouraging anyone who spots a new wildfire to report it using the BC Wildfire Service app, where photos can help crews make faster decisions about their response.
