Another 16 properties have been placed on evacuation alert due to the 126,876-hectare Pear Lake wildfire. The Pear Lake wildfire burning northwest of Kamloops has grown to nearly 127,000 hectares, making it the 14th-largest wildfire recorded in B.C. The Pear Lake wildfire, burning in the South Cariboo, was last mapped at 124,656 hectares. Crews were also working on the 4,649-hectare Rim Lake wildfire, located to the east of Pear Lake.
