A wildfire east of Ymir that dropped off of the provincial wildfire dashboard as active has now returned as of Tuesday, the B.C. Three kilometres to the east of Wren Creek — and 22 kilometres southeast of Nelson — the 1.5-ha Cultus Creek wildfire is burning out-of-control. Twelve kilometres off of Highway 3A on the East Shore — and 50 kilometres straight east of Nelson — the 6.2-hectare Kianuku Creek wildfire is burning out of control in Kianuku Provincial Park.
