Developer Tribe has lodged plans for a pair of high-rise towers on the Greenwich Peninsula delivering student accommodation, co-living homes and affordable housing beside the Silvertown Tunnel. The application proposes a 27-storey block with 673 purpose-built student bedrooms alongside a 23-storey tower providing 380 co-living homes. Ravensbourne University has backed the proposals, saying demand for student accommodation is “extremely high”. The proposal is the latest in a string of student housing schemes planned across the Peninsula. Nearby sites include Scape’s proposed three-tower development on the former gasholder land, Fairview’s revised Boord Street scheme and Knight Dragon’s plans to introduce around 1,000 student rooms within the wider Greenwich Peninsula masterplan.
