Prosecutor Ruaridh Allison said the couple had been in a relationship for three years but had separated by the time of this offence. He explained that the man returned to his home at around 10pm with his new partner and the accused was waiting for them. “She pushed him back which angered her and she grabbed him, ripping his shirt and then slapped him on the face. She then found out about his new relationship with the new partner, who they worked beside. Sheriff Peter Paterson told Golenia: “I give you full credit for your frankness and honesty to the police.”
