Get out, find the organisations across the constituency that are making a difference, and support them. My first stop was the Scottish Borders Rape Crisis Centre in Galashiels, the only specialist sexual violence service in the Borders. They are an inspiring organisation, and they will have my full support in the important and sadly necessary work they do. Everyone I met is getting on with making things better where they are, and my job is to back them.
