Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has pledged to justify the confidence reposed in him by President Bola Tinubu following his appointment as Chairman of the Board of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA). President Tinubu appointed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain as REA board chairman on July 20 as part of a fresh round of appointments involving 26 federal agencies and commissions. “I sincerely thank President Bola Tinubu for finding me worthy of this appointment. The former governor also gave an assurance that he and other board members would strive to deliver on the agency’s responsibilities. Fayose, however, noted that the REA board had yet to be formally inaugurated, explaining that it would be premature to outline specific programmes or policy directions until members officially assume office.
