Parents urged to claim up to £2,000 as thousands miss out on HMRC scheme

Working parents are being urged to check whether they qualify for Tax-Free Childcare, with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) revealing families using the scheme save an average of almost £100 every month.
Eligible families can receive up to £2,000 a year per child to help cover the cost of childcare, or up to £4,000 a year for a disabled child, by opening a Tax-Free Childcare account.
Nearly 75,000 childcare providers across the UK are now signed up to accept Tax-Free Childcare payments.
