Ashenbury Park is a nature reserve on the eastern edge of Woodley that is used daily for exercise and dog walking. The introduction of a parking charge was justified at a Woodley Town Council planning and community committee meeting. It states: “Ashenbury Park is a valued green space for people in Woodley and the surrounding area. “As part of this, we are proposing a £2.50 daily parking charge to help fund the park’s ongoing management, maintenance and future improvement.” The TRO consultation for Ashenbury Park is expected to go live on Thursday, August 6, and will be found on the council’s TRO webpage.
