Burlington Police were called to the Winooski River near Chase Street just before 7 p.m. Tuesday. A large emergency response was reported along the Winooski River around that time and a water rescue team could be seen operating on the river. Police said the Burlington Fire Department was able to retrieve the body from the river. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Officer Goldman with the Burlington Police Department.
