ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Hundreds gathered across Albuquerque for National Night Out, where residents met neighbors and city leaders to talk about safety and community needs. Residents met Tuesday at events around the city to connect with neighbors, police and city leaders. City leaders said the gatherings gave people a place to raise concerns and share ideas about their neighborhoods. City leaders said the feedback from National Night Out helps shape planning and improvements across Albuquerque. National Night Out has taken place for more than 40 years and happens each year on the first Tuesday of August.
