Farmington should cool slightly compared with the last several days, though much of the state will stay hot. Northeastern New Mexico will likely run a little warmer than Tuesday after a front brought slightly cooler air there. Forecasters said most storms near the Albuquerque metro will likely weaken before reaching the city. Another round of wildfire smoke from outside New Mexico will move overhead and could create hazier skies. Parts of the Four Corners, north-central New Mexico and southern Colorado could also see smoke reach the ground and affect air quality.
