The lower end of Castle Gardens is reopening on August 7 after contractors appointed by Norwich City Council spent eight months ripping up the landscape, widening the paths, and installing new seating. Part of the project includes transforming the Whiffler Theatre, a former open-air performance venue at the base of Norwich Castle’s mound.
