A 205-unit subdivision is proposed for a forested area near the intersection of Centennial Drive and Taylor Kidd Boulevard in Kingston.
KINGSTON — A citizens group is asking the city’s planning committee to reject a proposed subdivision development that would cut down a forested area along Centennial Drive.
The development is to include 112 townhouses, 47 single-detached houses and two six-unit apartment buildings.
The property is designated a significant woodland and significant valley land in the city’s current official plan.
Now planning committee is being asked to set the bylaw aside,” added Kerry Hill of No Clearcuts Kingston.
