The suspect, identified as Jeanine John Taele, was taken into custody at Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, where President Trump is expected to attend a fundraising dinner later this week. Authorities further revealed that the suspect had already been under investigation by the El Segundo Police Department in connection with a robbery case before his arrest near Trump's golf course. The incident nevertheless comes amid heightened security surrounding President Trump following previous threats against him, including the attempted assassination at his Florida golf club in 2025.
