The National Sheep Association (NSA) has opened nominations for two of the UK sheep industry's most prestigious awards, celebrating individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to sheep farming and the wider sector. The George Hedley Memorial Award and the Bob Payne Memorial Award recognise exceptional commitment to the industry and the Association, with nominations now open ahead of an October deadline. First presented more than 60 years ago, the George Hedley Memorial Award is regarded as one of the highest honours in the UK sheep sector. Often described as a lifetime achievement award, it recognises individuals whose dedication has had a lasting impact on sheep farming.
