ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Police escorted a man accused of killing Scottish aid worker Elisabeth Jane Ross and hiding her body in a suitcase to court on Wednesday after he was charged with murder and robbery. The suspect was identified from street camera footage recorded near the site, showing a man wheeling a large, dark-colored suitcase. He was granted 24 hours to prepare his defense and is expected back in court Thursday, court officials said. The suspect — a migrant who has not been named in accordance with Greek law — was arrested Sunday. Greek public broadcaster ERT reported that the suspect was born in Afghanistan and was pursuing a boxing career in Athens, details that authorities have not publicly confirmed.
