A large group of Chinese tourists and a local Thai resident suddenly clashed on a busy sidewalk. The Chinese tourist family and the Thai local both sustained only very minor physical injuries. The Thai local then headed straight to the Mueang Chiang Mai Police Station to file an official report. They worked incredibly hard to track down the Chinese family involved in the violent clash. Some social media users aggressively questioned if the Chinese family was visiting Thailand legally.
