HKFoods profit rises 19% on retail and food service growth Finnish producer expects most 2026 earnings in second half5 August 2026 5 August 2026 1 minute read 1 minute read By: By: Global Ag Media EuropeFinland's HKFoods reported a 19.3% rise in second-quarter comparable operating profit to €7.7 million, with net sales up 5.3% to €258.7 million, driven by growth in retail and food service channels, according to Reuters. Sales growth was led by poultry, meal components and ready meals in retail, alongside strong food service performance. Higher costs for oil, logistics, packaging, personnel and services weighed on profitability, with sales price increases only partially offsetting the pressure. HKFoods left its full-year guidance unchanged, expecting comparable operating profit to grow compared to 2025, with most of the year's earnings expected in the second half due to seasonality. The company said it sees continued strong demand for poultry meat and is pursuing ongoing efficiency improvements.
