Since December 2021, HPAI has impacted more than 17 million domestic poultry birds in Canada. The confined field trial will involve two participating commercial poultry farms in Manitoba. This confined field trial is being conducted to gather evidence and inform future planning. It does not represent a decision to implement HPAI vaccination in Canada, a vaccination program, or a change to current HPAI disease control measures.
