The poll results follow a recent letter from Derbyshire MP Jon Pearce to supermarkets in a bid to stop then selling disposable barbecues for the rest of the summer. While the majority of those polled would like to take that further with an outright ban, 25% said they were opposed to the idea of a ban. Opposition is a little higher among younger age groups, with 28-30% of those in the under 50 age groups opposed to an outright ban on disposable barbecues, compared to just 19% of over 65s.
