The Employee Activity Committee (EAC) is an internal committee made up of City employees who volunteer their time to plan activities, recognize coworkers, and create opportunities for employees to connect outside of their daily responsibilities. While most residents may never hear about the committee, its efforts help build a positive workplace culture that benefits employees across every City department. The committee hosts Employee Huddles, publishes monthly employee newsletters, and recognizes outstanding staff members through its Employee Spotlight program. The committee also plans several annual traditions that employees look forward to, including the Annual Employee Banquet, the Public Service Recognition Week Luncheon, and the Annual Soup Luncheon. While the Employee Activity Committee works behind the scenes, its mission is simple: to create opportunities for employees to feel connected, appreciated, and supported.
