Ryanair joy as passenger numbers hit all-time highBudget carrier Ryanair’s monthly passenger numbers reached an all-time high of more than 22 million in July. The Dublin-based airline said it carried 22.2 million passengers last month. It carried 213.2 million passengers in the 12 months to the end of July, which was a five per cent rise year-on-year. Ryanair recently revealed quarterly profits slumped by more than a third as the price of jet fuel doubled because of the Iran war. The carrier reported a 34 per cent drop in profits after tax to £457 million for the three months to the end of June.
