Housing provider secures Dales scheme approvalA housing provider has been backed to create an affordable property venture. North Star Housing Group has secured planning permission for a Yorkshire Dales scheme. Thornaby-based North Star Housing Group is working with the Upper Dales Community Land Trust on the endeavour, with bosses saying homes will be allocated through a local lettings policy. She added an application will be made to Homes England for grant support, alongside North Star Housing Group and North Yorkshire Council investment, via the Upper Dales Community Land Trust. Stephen Stubbs, Upper Dales Community Land Trust chair, added: “We are delighted planning permission has been granted by the Yorkshire Dales National Park, allowing this much-needed affordable housing project to move forward.”
