Director General of Police CV Anand, IPS, on Wednesday launched the Next-Generation Telangana Emergency Response Support System (TG-ERSS) at the Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre (TGiCCC). 18,000 emergency calls answered dailyThe Dial 112 control centre functions round the clock with 164 trained personnel and 900 SIP-based communication channels. Migration to govt-owned platformThe upgraded system also marks the successful migration of Dial 100, Dial 112 and other emergency helplines from the legacy platform to the government-owned infrastructure at TGiCCC. Officials said the move has improved operational control, reduced dependence on external vendors and enhanced the overall efficiency of emergency response.
